Karen Tay is a concert harpist based in Singapore whose work encompasses solo recitals, orchestral and chamber performances, weddings, corporate events, and educational presentations.

Solo Recitals, Collaborations and Orchestral Harpist

As a classically-trained musician, Karen gives solo recitals reflecting a diverse repertoire of standard works, underrepresented works, as well as new commissions. 

Collaborating in various productions, musicals, chamber music and orchestral performances, constitutes a significant portion of her performance credits.

She has performed in venues such as Carnegie and Merkin Hall in New York City, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Kitara Hall in Sapporo, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London, Esplanade Concert Hall and Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore.

Brands and Venues

Alongside her concert career, Karen is no stranger to the social scenes of both Singapore and New York City, having graced countless weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Notable clients include Chanel, Pandora, Viking Cruises, and Christian Dior, among others.

She was the resident harpist at The Fullerton Hotel from 2016 to 2019, as well as at the Shangri-La in the summer of 2023 and from 2026 to the present.

 

In New York, she has performed at distinguished venues including the New York Stock Exchange, Steinway Tower, Legacy Castle, and luxury hotels.
